Warm & Cool Breast Pads ® provide instant, portable and reusable heat, making them a great breast-care solution for breastfeeding women. The pocket-size Warm & Cool Breast Pads are easy to use. With just a simple “click of a button,” the pads reach a temperature of up to 54°C (130°F). And, they cool down quickly in the refrigerator (with no need to click).
Warming breasts (for up to 5 minutes) before breastfeeding can help milk flow, relieve breast engorgement and reduce pain. Cooling breasts after feeding can help reduce breast swelling. Warm & Cool Breast Pads can help ease the discomfort of breast inflammation and blocked milk ducts. They are designed to help relieve sore and cracked nipples. The pads are anatomically designed to fit the breast and can easily be placed inside any bra. To maintain appropriate temperature during use, always insert the pads into the washable cotton pockets.
To use as an instant heat source, simply flex the internal button inside each pad.
After each use, the pads need to be re-charged for the next use; simply follow these instructions:
To heat in a microwave oven
- Fully submerge the pads in water in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Place the bowl in the microwave. Set the microwave to a high setting and microwave for approximately 3–5 minutes.
Continue to steps 3–8 below
To heat on a stove
- Fully submerge the pads (5 cm or 2 in.) in a pot of water.
- Boil the water and pads.
- Keep checking the pads (do not check with hands) until all the crystals have dissolved and the pads are completely clear.
- Note: If crystals are still present, the pads will begin heating again!
- When the pads are completely clear, remove them from the water (do not touch with hands) and place them on a dry cloth to cool.
- When the pads have cooled, they are ready to be used again.
- If crystals start forming while the pads are cooling, repeat steps 1 through 6.
- Keep the pads in their original liquid state.
To cool, place the pads in the refrigerator. No clicking necessary. Do not freeze.

Warning
- When heating in a microwave/on a stove-top, the pad and water are very hot! Do not touch with hands.
- Never use or attempt to fix leaking or defective pads.
- Never use sharp objects to handle the pads.
- This item is not a medical device, is not recommended as a medical device and should not be used as a substitute for medical treatment.
- The pads contain sodium acetate - also called sodium salt (food grade). In case of sodium acetate exposure to skin, immediately wash skin with soap and flush with plenty of water. If necessary, consult a physician.
- In case of eye exposure, immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If necessary, consult a physician.
- If swallowed, immediately wash mouth out with plenty of water. If necessary, consult a physician.
